Joe Budden Signs Distribution Deal With Amalgam Digital

Joe Budden has signed a deal with the independent label and distributor, Amalgam Digital (Diplomat Records, Tash and bunch of other bums). He'll be releasing "Mood Muzik 3: The Album" on February 26th, 2008. It'll include all songs in their entirety and two bonus songs, all rearranged in a different format to fit an album sorting. Then in the second quarter of 2008 he'll be releasing his long awaited sophomore album "Padded Room" (The Growth will no longer be the title of his second album because he said we already heard The Growth on Mood Muzik 2 & 3).

I think this is great move for Budden. It's not Koch like most were expecting because he didn't like what they were offering. Also he didn't go with a major yet because no major label at this time was going to give him the freedom nor the push that he needed to make the music he wants us to hear. He'll go with a major when and if the time's right. I also think this is a great move because he already has a strong fan base and this way his album dropping is all on him and he'll have no one to blame if things don't go as planned. Mood Muzik 3 sounds to me like the best album of the year so far and it was only a mixtape, so I can't wait to see what he'll be blessing us with on that "Padded Room" album!
