Kanye West, Amy Winehouse, Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Justin Score Big Grammy Nominations

Everyone figured there would be two names dominating this year's Grammy Awards nominees: rapper Kanye West and troubled songstress Amy Winehouse. And Thursday morning (December 6), when Akon, Fergie, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda, the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, country artist Taylor Swift and comedian George Lopez announced the nominees inside the Music Box @ Fonda in Hollywood, West's and Winehouse's names came up a lot.

Kanye West topped the nominations with eight, Amy Winehouse scored six, and the Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and T-Pain each earned five nods. Akon, Dierks Bentley, Chris Daughtry, Feist, Tim McGraw, John Newton, Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Bruce Springsteen received four each.

Kanye and Winehouse will go head-to-head for Album of the Year honors: West for his third opus, Graduation, and Winehouse for her sophomore LP, Back to Black. R.I.P. Pimp C

SiTV’s photographer and blogger Daniel Hastings before and now Daniel shares his thoughts about the passing of Pimp C and the work he did for him.

In this article, Daniel talks about his experience working as an art director for an Underground Kingz cover shoot.
"During the shoot, I remember we were recreating a sting operation, like UGK was being watched by the D.E.A. But instead of drug bundles, they were CD bundles. So they needed an authentic looking Drug Cartel “JEFE”, a real “Pablo Escobar” in the flesh, a True "Tony Montana" that lives up to the Scarface name. I remember aproaching PIMP C as he is speaking about this idea and he points at me… and says.. "You Daniel, You are perfect". It just so happened that I had my Colorful Guayabera on, not that I dress like a Colombian Druglord or look like one, Do I?. (I know, I was totally stereotyped) but I played the hell of a CD Smuggler/Druglord. Check me out… That’s acting Y’all!!! And those are CD bundles, OK!!!"

Pusha T Responds to Lil Wayne

Pusha from the Clipse addresses what Lil Wayne said during his Complex Magazine Interview.

Lil Wayne On the Clipse:

“I thought the whole ‘Mr. Me Too’ video was about me, to tell you the damn truth. They think I want to be like them. I’m on a million-dollar bus going around the world charging people from $50,000 to $150,000 for verses, and I got 77 songs in magazines and I got a billion more. Do the math; you think I’m trying to be like you? No sir.”

The homie Pitbull is fire... But I wish he can stay away from the whole booty stuff - Its cool we need that in the clubs. I just think he should get more personal with his music like his first album. He had hits and he had his personal joints...on some real hip hop shit.-
