Cormega "Who Am I?" DVD Out NOW

"Who Am I?" came out yesterday and the DVD is ill homies. I won't front it's a little long (4 Hours to be exact) but it's well worth it if you're a diehard Mega fan (like Hand), if you have no idea who Cormega really is and what his career is about, if you miss the hood and love taking trips down memory lane or if you just wanna act like you real and would like a good blueprint to follow - hee-hee. I'm not gonna front the soundtrack isn't all that because Mega isn't on every track but it does have some real hot sh** in between those not so caliente songs. Regardless though go cop it and trust me you won't be disapointed and it should hold you off until "The Inevitable" drops.

LEGAL HUSTLE FOR LIFE!!!

THE QUEEN IS BACK!

Alicia Keys took over the charts this week and slapped the rest of these R&B bitches in the dome piece! Her new album, "As I Am" debuted at #1 with 742K sold. Jiggaman sold a respectable 131K except for the fact that it was a 70% decline from his first week. 50 might be on to something with that statement he made about Def Jam buying records and them dropping by 70% the second week, lol. Either he's a prophet or he knows some inside info the rest of us don't!

On a sad note Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's latest effort, "T.H.U.G.S." only moved 15K in its first week of release... OUCH! Looks like the Full Surface label is on its way to bankruptcy if they keep on with these lackluster album sales.

Jermaine Dupri... On Apple iTunes

More artists and producers are gonna take back control of how their art is sold because [Jay-Z’s] strategy has paid off. Maybe Hova coulda sold another 100,000 to 200,000 units by playing it iTunes’ way, but he still had the number one album last week. He STILL sold 425,000 units. Even more, he’s proven you can still sell an album without those guys.

Jay made everyone realize that iTunes taking what we give them and doing what they want with it isn’t the way it has to be. He put the light on and made other people realize, “Oh these guys are just selling our music, they ain’t making it.” If anything, WE made iTunes. It’s like how we spent $300,000 to $500,000 each on our videos and MTV and BET went ahead and built an entire video television industry off of our backs. We can’t let that happen again. These businesses exist solely because of our music. So if we as artists, producers and label executives stand up, those guys at Apple can either cooperate, or have nothing for people to buy and download on their iPods.

Apple thinks that’s never gonna happen. They think that we as the record industry will never stick together. But Universal sells one out of every three records. All it’ll take is for Warner Music to say, “You know what, I’m with you,” for us to shut ‘em down. No more iPods! They won’t have nothin’ to play on their players! We can take back the power if we’re willing to sacrifice some sales to make our point.

Now Saigon's Mad At Budden Too?!!!

Everybody wants to feel a certain way nowadays about Joe Budden. Any little thing the man says now they all want to take up an issue with him. It saddens me now that even a dude like Saigon, whose music I admire, has decided that a Joe Budden punchline, "Wit' the chicks I hit and run like Saigon", was a diss to him. IT AIN'T THAT SERIOUS! You are in the public eye chief and that comes with the territory! You did actually hit and run didn't you? It's on tape, its not like he's saying "I hit and run cuz I'm a pussy like Saigon" he's saying what you said and did, no one is saying you did it in a punk manner cuz the whole hood knows Saigon ain't no punk. Come on man - WE NEED TO STOP THE VIOLENCE AGAINST OUR OWN! Isn't that what In Arms Reach and Abandoned Nation are about? I don't know, but hopefully this will get settled cuz not only does this sadden me but the fact that he said he wants to leave the game sucks as well. The streets need the Yardfather. Don't go Sai, don't go...

Go check out Saigon's foundation and make some donations for the kids at InArmsReach.org

Kanye Crying During "Hey Mama" Performance

Tough moment man. I can't imagine the pain of losing your mom, but at the same time I also can't imagine taking the stage in front of thousands of screaming fans while going through one of the worst times in my life. I'm not sure how anyone else feels but I don't think he should have been up there. I don't care how many people say that corny line "this is how so and so would've wanted it to be" - SORRY but so and so is DEAD. I'd only be concerned about what I, the person who is ALIVE, is going through and that would be too much pain for me to get over in a week. Props for trying but take like a three month break man, I'm sure your REAL fans will understand. R.I.P. Donda West...

Kanye Brakes Down During Concert

Just a week after his mother's death, Kanye West launched a European tour in Paris on Saturday, but broke down after performing for an hour, according to People.com.

Toward the end of the hour-long show at Le Zenith, as "Hey Mama" began, West attempted to introduce the song, saying, "This song is for my mother ... " but could not continue, the magazine reported.

"He said the word, 'Mother,' and just couldn't go any further," Le Parisien journalist Meddy Magloire told the magazine. "A back-up singer, the DJ and a guitar player came over to console him. It looked like he might collapse. He just couldn't continue. He just stood there in a spotlight, crying, while the band continued playing." The song, from 2005's Late Registration, is a dedication to Donda.
